Beulah was the daughter of Henry Viets and Beulah Messenger. She married Solomon Cochran on 06 Oct 1796 in Becket, Berkshire, Massachusetts. They had three children- Levi Muncil, Alice (who died young) and Ruth Elizabeth. They moved to Ohio. After Solomon died, she married John Austin.
