Charles A. Wynn Dies After Attack

Charles Arthur Wynn, 78 years old, of 116 East Ninth Street, was dead on arrival at 2:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at St. John's Hospital where he was taken after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.

He was born April 9, 1885, in Missouri and married September 7, 1939, in Altus, Oklahoma to Clara Wynn, who survives. He had lived in Joplin since 1948, coming here from Elkland, Missouri. He was a custodian at First National Bank, retiring in 1956. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 392, Loveland, Oklahoma, and the Joplin Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his widow; three sons, Jimmy Wynn of California, Chester Wynn of Chicago, Illinois, and Bob Wynn of California; four daughters, Mrs. Jane Seeburg, Mrs. Lorene Van Sickle, and Mrs. Veta Peterson, all of California, and Mrs. Thelma Johnson of Dover, Arkansas; a brother, Claude Wynn of California; and several grandchildren.

Services will be under direction of Mason Chapel.

In 1939, Charles married Clara Bell "Belle" (Hardwick) Weaver. (The marriage license lists this as his 3rd marriage.)
