Berry H. Rigdon, 63, died late Monday afternoon following a short illness. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, and a veteran of War War I.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Friendship Baptist Church near Alma by Rev. Cecil Thomas of Nicholls. Surviving are his wife, Vassie, one daughter, Miss Berry Ruth Rigdon of Alma, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Peacock, Alma, Mrs. Pearly Warren of Offerman, GA, Mrs.Lula Sellers, Poplarville, MS, two brothers, William Jackson Rigdon, Waycross and Rufus Rigdon, also of Waycross. Pallbearers for the military funeral will be from Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Denmark Funeral Home in charge.
