Alfred Spear Dockins

Anderson, Nov. 20 - Alfred Spear Dockins, 65, of 118 Farmer street, died at the Anderson hospital at noon Monday. He had been in declining health for two years and seriously ill for two days.

Mr. Dockins, a native of Rabun County, GA., was engaged in textile work and had been with the Gosett Mills for more than fifteen years. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rosa Nickles Dockins; four sons: Ralph Dockins of Bath, SC; Clarence and Fred Dockins of Anderson and Mitchell Dockins of the home; one brother, Jim Dockins of Greenwood and four sisters: Miss Carrie Dockins and Miss Maude Dockins of Greenwood; Mrs. Delphis Marshingeel of Clayton, Ga.; Mrs. Olive Kirby of Ninety Six and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from Riverside Baptist Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. E. B. Lowery will officiate and burial will be in Silver Brook Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Fred Duncan, A. P. Stone, J. Y. Godfrey, W. C. White, R. B. Cochran and Ernest Powell. Members of Willow Camp will serve as honorary pallbearers.
