Funeral Services For Gregory J. Wandler
Funeral services for Gregory J. Wandler, were held here Monday morning Dec. 12, at Margaret Mary's Catholic Church with Father Ferretti conducting Mass. Interment was made in Big Sandy Cemetery.
Gregory John Wandler was born on Oct. 12, 1912, at Schefield, North Dakota. On Oct 11, 1932, he married Elizabeth Wolf of Mott, North Dakota, where the family made their home until Aug. 9, 1952, when they moved to Berwick where he managed the Rugby Milling Co. Elevator for a year. He was then transferred to Sheridan County Elevator at Reserve, Mont., until Oct. 9, 1955, when he came to Big Sandy, where he was employed in the new school building.
He became seriously ill Oct. 20th and was taken to a Havre hospital in a Big Sandy ambulance. His condition became more serious and he was transferred to a Great Falls hospital, where he passed away last Wednesday evening, Dec. 7, 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Wandler, and several children: two sons, Donald and Paul; and five daughters, Mrs. Caroline Germann of Havre, Mrs. Loretta Fettig of Rugby, N. D., and Alice Mae, Diana and Venita Marie, all of Big Sandy; a brother, Joseph Wandler, of Dickinson, N. D.; a half-brother, Phillip Killweim of Cottonwood, Idaho; two half-sisters, Mrs. Betty Sather and Mrs. Pauline Meulemans, both of Seattle. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
