Ellen L. Darr
Mrs. Ellen Louisa DARR, who lived on R.R. 2, Rochester in the McKinley neighborhood, died at 9:30 a.m. today in the Pontious nursing home, where she had been a patient since Nov. 29, 1963. She had been ill since Nov. 1, 1963.
A native of England, Mrs. Darr had lived in the Rochester vicinity about 18 years, moving from South Bend. Her parents were William and Ellen TURNER SMITH. She was maried in South Bend on Jan .27, 1919 to Cleo H. DARR, who died Sept. 27, 1962. She was a member of the Rochester First Christian Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. J. P. (Grace) MILLER, Deckerville, Mich., and Mrs. Oscar (Agnes) HARNETT, Strathroy, Canada, and numerous nieces and nephews. A brother preceded in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Graham MARSH officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday.
