Otto and family moved to Cedar Rapids in 1918. He was the founder of Ogden lumber, and later partnered with his son-in-law in the lumber business, having been in the business since he was 20 years of age. Mr. Ogden was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist church, and a 50-year member of Maine lodge, IOOF.
Surviving were his daughter, Mrs. Jessie (Denver) Adams of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Earl Ogden of Spokane, Wash., and Roc Ogden of Great Falls, Mont.; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace Wick of Tuscon, Ariz., and Mrs. B. F. Helmbrecht of Buffalo, N.Y.
