Resident of Pittsburg Susan Elizabeth "Sue" Ericsson died on November 17, 2008. She is survived by her sisters [living - ed] and [living - ed] Ericsson of California, and [living - ed] Ericsson of Montana; niece [living - ed], nephews [living - ed], [living - ed], [living - ed], [living - ed], and [living - ed]; many grandnieces and grandnephews; many friends; and "Stripey" and "Misty". Sue joyfully experienced all aspects of her life. There was no adventure too small to treasure and her interests pointed 360 degrees. She loved the outdoors and relished any opportunity to share it. She was a master gardener and found comfort in digging in the dirt. Along with the teaching staff and students, she was instrumental in maintaining the Los Medanos Nature Preserve. Music was a lifelong theme for Sue and she was a catalog of lyrics, melodies, and basic "musicololgy". She was a familiar face in the Bay Area folk/bluegrass scene in the '70s. She recently participated in the Guiness Book of World Records "most guitars played at one time" in Concord, CA. She enjoyed cutting hair and was great at engaging in conversation with clients. She loved her SuperCuts friends. Family and friends were paramount to Sue and she will be deeply missed. The family suggests donations to Hospice, any Breast Cancer Organization, Charlotte Maxwell House of Oakland. Memorial service at a later date.
