Telitha Jane Arnett was born in Clay Co., Illinois to John D.(~1791 - 1859) and Elizabeth (Hays) Arnett(~1795 -1863). She married John L. Stafford on Jan 23, 1849 in Pike Co., Illinois. They adopted a son, William Stafford (a nephew),
and moved first to Kansas, then to Boise, ID.
Mrs. Stafford married George Dabney Ellis in Ada Co., ID on Feb. 6, 1873. They did not have children, although she and John adopted three: Olive West Packenham, Edith Moore Brown, and Phoebe Eula Clayton Dodds.
