Albert Byron Cowardin
Born: June 26, 1917 at Savannah, Missouri
Died: June 30, 1988 at the Washakie County Memorial Hospital in Worland, WY
Parents: Jesse Byron and Agnes Louise (Pfander) Cowardin.

He was reared and educated in Savannah, graduing from the Savannah High School in 1936. He attended the University of Oklahoma at Norman for business management courses.

He was married to Dorothy B. Williamson in Oregon, Missouri on Sept. 12, 1940.

He enlisted in the United States Navy Seabees during World War II, serving 26 months in the South Pacific. He worked all over the United States operating machines, until he went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation in Casper, and then transferred to Glendo in 1969. He remained a resident of Glendo until the time of his death. He served as Glendo's judge for several years, resigning because of ill health.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Glendo; his son, Allen Cowardin of Guernsey; his daughter, Peggy Cowardin Rhoades of Brawley, Calif.; his step-mother, Eleanor Cowardin of Savannah; his sister, Barbara King of Houston, Texas; one granddaughter and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and an infant brother.
