Hays - Edwin K. "Red" Bollig, 68, Hays, died Friday, April 24, 1998, at Hays Medical Center. Mr. Bollig was born Nov. 26, 1929, at Victoria.

He was a retired custodian for St. Joseph School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Hays.

Survivors include his wife, Lila of the home; two daughters, Colleen Bollig of Downs and Lisa Kinderknecht of Albuquerque, N.M.; three brothers, Virgil of Hays, Clarence of Coolidge, Ariz., and George of Denver; and 11 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Mike Suchnicki officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. A parish vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Red Bollig Memorial Fund. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m., 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and afte 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 20th and Pine, Hays 67601.
