Completed arrangements are being announced for Ann R. Hart Whitesell, 80, of Rocky River, Ohio, formerly of Fulton, who died 1:30 p.m. Sept. 25, 2010, at The Normandy in Rocky River.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Bill Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery in Fulton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Friday.
She was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Fulton, daughter of the late William Lawson and Frances (Graham) Roper. She was the widow of James Alexander "Jim" Hart, whom she married Oct. 13, 1952, and Lt. Col. Robert Daugherty Whitesell, whom she married Oct. 3, 1983. She was a 1948 alumna of Fulton High School. She earned her bachelor of science degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Missouri in 1951 and also attended Stephens College.

She had been employed as a social worker for both the State of Missouri and the State of Indiana. She also worked as a realtor and had been personnel director for Girl Scouts of America.
She enjoyed travel and did so extensively. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution and United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca Ann Minske of Cleveland, Ohio, Susan Elaine Bonner of Memphis and Nancy Louise Nussbaum of Tokyo; two sons, James Brian Hart of Norfolk, Va, and William Lawson Hart of Marietta, Ga; five stepchildren, Robert D. Whitesell, Lillian Lehman, Martha Young, Betsy Whitesell and Mary Margaret Isbell; five grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
