JOSEPH P. RETTICK, SR. age 75, of 268 Oak Dr. NW Willowdale Lake North Canton, passed away Wednesday at Timken Mercy Hospital of a heart attack. Born in Hungary, he was a resident of the North Canton area since 1943. He was retired from the Republic Steel Corp. in 1966 with 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton, Sons of Herman Lodge No. 10 of Akron, Men's Club of Willowdale Lake, and the Brick Layer's Union Local No. 6. Survived by his widow, Katie, of the home; two daughters, Mrs, Gail (Betty) Shonk of Canton and Mrs. Wayne (Cathy) Bringardner of North Canton; two sons, Joseph A. of North Canton and James R. of Bloomington, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John (Theresa) Elmaur of Twin Lakes, Ohio, and Mrs. Katie Leib of Detroit, Mich., and one brother, Steve Rettick of Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be sung Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial in North Canton Cemetery. Friends may call at Karl & Sons Funeral Home Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
