Mrs. Humphreys had been in ill health for some time.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Lettie Roberson, Mrs. Hosea Massie, Mrs. Clara Bailey, of Stuarts Draft; Mrs. Joe Peyton and Mrs. Paul Pursley, of Waynesboro; Mrs. Janie Kable, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Charles Duggan, of Ellison; three sons, Otho, of Stuarts Draft, O. H., of Staunton, and Harry Humphreys, of Hammond, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Cole, of Staunton, and Mrs. Jennie McCauley, of Baltimore, and a number of grandchildren.
