Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Christine Avery Couey, age 83 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday July 10, 2009 in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jay Moore will officiate.

Mrs. Couey was born on March 10, 1926, in Wheeler County Georgia, She was the daughter of the late Luman P. and Mae Snellgrove Avery. She also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Thomas Couey. She was preceded in death by her step mother Cora S. Avery. She was a Homemaker, Employed by Ailey Manufacturing Company, and Oxford Manufacturing Company, moved to Dublin in 1968, and to Milledgeville 10 years ago, Member of Lovett United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Couey is survived by her 2 sons Melvin (Peggy) Couey Milledgeville, Hugh Couey of Milledgeville. 4 Grandchildren Stacy Womock, Christy Couey, Jenna Couey, and Anna Couey. Pallbearers will be Gerald Avery, Dennis Avery, L.P. Avery, Chris Avery, Jerry Avery, Don Avery, Paul Avery, and John Avery.
