Eula Faye Risner, 80, of Amarillo died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Dreamland Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Bigham, pastor of Arden Road Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

Eula was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Marlow, Okla., to Clinton and Ruth Rice Dodson. She grew up in Canyon.

She married James Risner Sr. on Oct. 18, 1947, in Canyon. She owned and operated Faye's Beauty Salon in the 1970s. They moved to Abilene in 1978 and lived there for 18 years before moving back to Canyon, where she spent time with family and friends.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and memaw and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church.

Faye's family would like to thank Bivins Rehabilitation, BSA CCU and BSA Hospice for the support and special care they provided.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Risner Sr., in 1996; a sister, Gladys Dodson; and a brother, Nick Dodson.

Survivors include three children, James Risner Jr. and wife Karen of Lawrence, Kan., Greg Risner and wife Sheila of Santa Fe, and Cheri Leonard and husband Carl of Canyon; seven grandchildren, Heather, April and husband Eric, Amy and fiance Noe, Brandon, Jeremiah, Emily and Shane; nine great-grandchildren, Blake, Josh, Brooklyn, Autumn, Summer, Briana, Jacob, Jackson and Zachary; a sister-in-law, Kass Dodson; a brother-in-law, Buck Risner and wife Vickie; four nephews, Harvey Risner, Jerry Risner, Mike Dodson and Cody Dodson; and numerous friends.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
