Born in Eaton Township, on August 26, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Cora Carpenter Sickler.
She was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School and attended Bloomsburg University. Katherine taught in the Gallop School in Vernon, a one-room school house for grades one through eight.
Mrs. Cook attended the Noxen United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Harry Waldo Cook; as well as several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are daughters Eleanor Grant, Tunkhannock; Ruth (Jadick) Ely, Tunkhannock; Rachel Raker, Jupiter Island, Fla.; and Gladys Kile, Benton; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters Julia Kingston, Laceyville, and Cora Barber, Tunkhannock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Wednesday in the Nulton Funeral Home, SR 309, Beaumont, with the Rev. Linda S. Bryan of the Noxen United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
