Mrs. M. Geneva Carson, of Tyrone, for the past month a guest at Epworth Manor here, died Tuesday at 10:55 p.m. at the Manor after an extended illness.
She was born March 7, 1905 at Franklinville, Huntingdon Co. and was married to Earl Carson. He died in 1934.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Velda Finney, Detroit, Mich.; Miss Lois Carson, of Polk State Home, near Pittsburgh; several grandchildren. A son preceded her in death. Surviving also is her mother, Mrs. Maude Pardoe, of Sinking Valley; two half-brothers and a half-sister, the Rev. Gerald Pardoe, of McDonald; Donald Pardoe, of Bellefonte; Mrs. Winifred Miller, Sinking Vallery.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Ruth Wertz Sunday School Class. She retired at Epworth Manor in 1970.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. Ivan Miller. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
