Roy Wilson Allen, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 1995) at Union Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Piney Grove East Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born Dec. 20, 1920, in Anson County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Olar Burch Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Christeen Allen; four sons, Leroy Allen, Willie Allen, Murphy Allen of Houston, Texas, and McDuffie Allen of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Dorothy Gaither, and Brenda Allen of Houston, Texas; five brothers, Henry Allen of Alton, Va., Joseph Allen, Lonnie Allen and Hamp Allen, all of Jersey City, N.J., and David Allen of Atlanta; four sisters, Mrs. Mitchell Davis of Newark, N.J., Julia Morning of Atlanta, Katie Huntley and Gertrude Craig; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
