Elizabeth Mae Coffey Wormley was the only child of Lee T. Coffey (1871-1952) and his wife Isis Orpha Winfree (1890-1976). She grew up in Minco, OK where her father owned a hardware store. Elizabeth married three times, first to Albert Dean Dark (1916-1961) of Oklahoma, second to William Roby of Illinois, and third to Gordon C. Wormley (1912-2001). Her first two marriages ended in divorce. An automobile accident when she was a young woman left Elizabeth unable to bear children. She died at the age of eighty-nine and was buried next to her parents.

Graveside services for Elizabeth M. Wormley, 87, of Minco, were held on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in Minco's Evergreen Cemetery. Rev David Mercer of the Minco United Methodist Church officiated under the direction of the Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

Wormley was born on June 21, 1917 in Minco to Lee Thomas and Isis Orpha (Windfrey)[Winfree] Coffey and died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in Yukon.

She moved back to Minco in 1977 and was a member of the Minco United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #215 in Minco. She retired as a secretary for Clark Equipment Company.

On October 29, 1954, she married Gordon C. "Tub" Wormley in Aurora, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by a brother; and by her husband on October 23, 2001. She is survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the American Legion Children's Home at 1300 Summer Place, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74604.
