Elizabeth Price Thomas, 96, of East Shawnee Avenue, Plymouth, died Friday morning, October 1, 2010, at the HCR Manor Care Nursing Center, Kingston. She was born in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Idris and Margaret Richards Price and attended Plymouth High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at the Howells Mining Co. and Pennsylvania Gas and Water Co. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the First Welsh Baptist Church of Plymouth, where she served on the Deaconess Board, was a member of the Ladies Aide Society, was the choir director for both the Senior and Junior choirs, as well as conducting the Gymanfa Ganu for many years. She was also a member of the Plymouth Cambrian Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tip Thomas; an infant daughter, Anne Louise; a sister, Margaret Sims; and a brother, Arthur Price. She is survived by sisters, Emily McAndrew, Allentown; Gladys Toporcer, Middletown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the William A. Reese Funeral Chapel, rear 56 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth, with the Rev. Anita J. Ambrose, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to the First Welsh Baptist Church, 163 Girard Ave., Plymouth, PA 18651.
