John J (no name) Freehafer was born 13 February 1847 in Worthington Township, Richland County, Ohio. He left Richland County along with his parents and siblings in 1866, settling in Jackson Township, Huntington County, Indiana. He married Sarah Ann "Sally" Kalb 15 October 1868 in Roanoke, Huntington County, Indiana. JJ was a farmer and one of the founders of the Church of God in Huntington, Indiana. He died 9 March 1917 at the home of his son, Frank, in Huntington.
