Ann (Eubank) Hudnall Abbott (1924-2010)

SHERMAN - Funeral services for Ann Eubank Hudnall Abbott will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 30 in the Johnson-Moore Chapel in Pottsboro. Rev. Phil Barton of the Westminster Baptist Church will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Preston Bend Cemetery with Matt Hudnall, Dan Hudnall, Brad Hudnall, Dane Hudnall, Alex Moser, and Mark Eubank serving as pallbearers.

Ann waited and passed away on Monday, September 27 in Corinth at the age of 85, as not to distract from the service of Margaret Hudnall, her sister-in-law and dear friend.

Ann was born October 22, 1924 in Sherman to the late John Thomas Eubank and Rosa Victoria (Sanford) Eubank. She graduated from Sherman schools in 1942 and married Delbert Eugene Hudnall on June 30, 1942 in Atoka. She and Mr. Hudnall were married over 35 years when he passed away in March 1978. On October 1, 1988, Ann and Jack Abbott were married. Mr. Abbott passed away in January 1992.
Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She truly loved life and will be remembered as a God-loving, Christian woman, defined by her thoughtful, kind, and giving nature. Ann was deeply committed to her family and will be missed by them beyond words.
Ann's zest for life was only surpassed by her ability to care for others! Love, compassion, and fun times, were the center piece of her life. Her faith was so strong that tears from her family will be shed in happiness in anticipation of her grand reunion with the Lord and her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Delbert E. Hudnall and his wife Nancy of Bakersfield, Calif. and Rob Hudnall and wife Kelly of Corinth; five grandchildren (who knew her as Granny) Matt Hudnall and wife Alicia of Bakersfield, Dan Hudnall and wife Holly of Bakersfield, Brad Hudnall of Denton, Dane Hudnall of Denton, and Traci Anderson Hudnall of Corinth. Affectionately known as GG, she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Drew, Mason, Caylee, and Emma Rose. She is also survived by three nieces, Susan Moser and husband Alex of Pottsboro, Cindy Evans of San Jose, Calif. and Marla Jones of Sherman; and two nephews, Mark Eubank of Denison and Mike Eubank of Denton.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Waldo Funeral Home and other times at the home of Susan and Alex Moser. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
