Jacob H. Hine was the son of Simon Hine (1750-1838) and Eva Barbara Miller Hine (1762-1805.)
He was married in 1810 to the former Anna Marie Christman (1790-1870.)
Jacob was born Sept. 7, 1782, in Westmoreland County and died there in Bell Township on May 4, 1865. Some records list his day of death as May 1, but his marker clearly has May 4, so I chose to use this date.

According to The Republican Marriages and Deaths by Tomicheck, Jacob died on May 17, 1865, at the age of 82, and was survived by 38 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
As the headstone appears to be fairly legible, I have not changed the date.
