Glade Williams Fife, 83, beloved of his family and friends, died April 22, 2007 after a long illness. Glade was born on November 23, 1923 to Arthur Root Fife and Florence Williams in Cedar City, UT. He is survived by Theone Irene Thatcher Fife whom he married on December 4, 1943. Glade and Theone have three children, Anne Monroe of San Juan Capistrano, CA, Holly Glidden of Albuquerque, and Dustin M. Fife of Aberdeen, Scotland; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Fife was a graduate of UNM and a veteran of World War II serving in the south Pacific in the U.S. Navy as a PBM pilot. After retiring from the Navy he became a business partner with his wife's family in Thatcher's Guernsey Dairy. This business was sold in 1980 and Glade became a general contractor. The dairy property was subdivided and the Las Colinas subdivision was built by Glade and other builders. Mr. Fife was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007, 1:30 p.m., at the Montano LDS Chapel, 1100 Montano NW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
