DANBURY, Jan. 27-Edward Tap Mabe, 99, died this morning at his home on route 1, Danbury. He would have been 100 on March 20. He leaves 119 living descendants.
Surviving are four sons, Jesse, Jerry and Harden Mabe of Danbury and Everett of Kernersville Star Route; three daughters, Mrs. Etta Mabe of route 2, Walnut Cove, Mrs. Sadie Mabe of Danbury and Mrs. Charlie Mabe of Hamlet; a brother, Jack Mabe of Danbury; 33 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be the family cemetery near the home.
