Iula Lohman Wieland, 85, formerly of Austin died Thursday, June 6, 1991, in an Abilene nursing center. Iula was the daughter of Ellen Sylvester and Charlie Lohman. She was born at Lohman's Crossing, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin C. Wieland; son, Warren Wieland; brothers, Owen Lohman and O.B. Lohman.
Survivors include her daughter, Evelyn Scott of Clyde, TX; daughter-in-law, Elisabeth Wieland of Austin; sisters, Iona Carlson Fetner of Austin, Lorena Hammack LeBleu of Rising Star, Bessie Bryan Allen of Charlottesville, Virginia; six granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Hyltin-Manor Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Dennis Crawford officiating. Interment will be in the Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are James "Doc" Fielder, Danny Hobby, Roy Bullock, Byron Fullerton, Ted Scarborough and Herb Sladek.
