...A Miss HUNT came to Moss Point from her home in Greene Co., about 60 miles above Moss Point, about Sept 6. She stayed 2 nights at Mr. IRA BROOME'S where there has been no sickness and visited several stores in Moss Point, and returned home. When she was soon taken down with yellow fever and on 15th Sept. died with black vomit.
Her mother died on 2nd of Oct. and three more children between that date, and the 5th. Mr. CICERO BROOME, a brother of Mrs HUNT came from his home on Black Creek, about 25 miles distance and nursed and buried his relations, went home and died on 12th of Oct., several of these cases had black vomit....
