Morillo spent his youth in Newport, Vermont. He married Elsie Cota at Danville (Johannesburg), Vermont on Nov 29, 1881, and they moved to Iowa in late 1881 to early 1882. They resided in Iowa until 1921 when they moved to a farm in the vicinity of Hudson, Wisconsin. Elsie passed away at the home of her daughter Ida Mae Tracy in February 1935 and Morillo moved to Ontario, California two years later. He lived there until his death. Morillo always took an active interest in Methodist Church affairs.
