Who exactly this Jane Morrison belongs to is a mystery to this contributor, who at this time is researching intensly to find out who Jane is connected to. It may be that she is the sister of the other Morrisons who emigrated from Ireland in 1824 and came into NYC and migrated into Michigan in the 1830s and 1840s.

That sister, Jane Morrison, was married to a "Carnes" and which Carnes is still to be proved. She is found in the 1850 Censuses of Commerce Township with a Carnes family and she is living next to her brother, James Morrison.

It might be that she was the wife of John Morrison who is buried here. If so, we have no idea of her maiden name.(BL Apr 2013) If this is correct, then the links to James and Martha Morrison are incorrect.

It has also come to light recently that it was a Mary Jane Macomber that married JW Carnes, not this Jane Morrison.
