F. Ernest Evans Sr.

F. Ernest Evans Sr., 77, died in the Allen County Home at 9:40 p.m. Thursday after an extended illness. He was a retired farmer.

He was born in Hardin County, Dec. 14, 1881.

His wife, Florence, died in 1936.

Surviving are two sons, Frank E. Evans of Rt. 2, and Wilbur H. Evans of Harbor Woods, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Peoples of Rt. 1, Waynesfield, and Mrs. Martha Rogers of Rt. 1, Lafayette; three brothers, David Evans of Williamsfield, Karl Evans of Williamsfield and Donald Evans of Geneva; one sister, Mrs. Lovina Hughes of 712 W. Spring; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Evans was a member of Sager Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, of Lafayette. He was a veteran of the armed forces, serving from 1903 to 1907.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Chiles and Son Chapel, with Rev. Howard Heilman officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
