Has been ill five months, Has lived in Vinton last three years.

Alanzp Blanchard, 73 died at Sacred Heart Hospital at 3:05 Wednesday afternoon following a five month's illness.

He has been a life resident of Fort Madison until he moved to Vinton Iowa. He was well liked by his many acquintances.

He was also a devoted member of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by one brother, Lawrence C. Blanchard, one half brother, Ira Fiss, also Mrs. Blanchard, all of this city. Many nieces and Nephews mourn his death. His wife died in 1921.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the first Methodist Episcopal church. Rev. A. B. Cadwell will officiate. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.
