Son of Peleg Bowe and Mary Woodward,
Thaddeus was a revolutionary war soldier.
He enlisted Aug 14 1776 and served for 1 year as a private in Capt. Phelps's Massachusetts company.
He re-enlisted in 1779 and served 9 months in Capt. Samuel Flower's/ Col John Greaton's Massachusetts Regiment.
He was allowed his pension application of April 8, 1818, while residing in W. Springfield, Mass.

Also listed as a private in Enoch C. Cooper's company

He married Oct 16, 1783 Mabel Stow, who was b April 1757 in Middletown, CT.
She also received pension benfits for his service.
in 1820 his application papers referred to two daughters, Emily age 20 and Harriet age 29.
