Martha Ann Wilson was born September 21, 1842, in New Concord, Muskingum County, Ohio. She was a daughter of David and Margaret McMurrey Wilson. In the year of 1856 she moved to Iowa with her parents. She was united in marriage to R. B. Lindsey, March 6, 1862, at Washington, Iowa. To this union six children were born. One son dying in infancy, Robert T., who died May 4, 1917 at the age of 53. The remaining children to mourn her death are; Mrs. E. F. Smith, Mrs. Rudolph Bures, Mrs. James Swift and Mrs. Claud McCall. Mr. Lindsey died in 1893, at their home in Jennings, Kansas. In the year of 1900 she was united in marriage to G. W. Rouse, who died February 15, 1905. There were four step-children of her former children:
A. B., W. R., and S. D. Lindsey and Mrs. A. J. Brock. She united with the church at the age of 14 years and has been a faithful member until the time of her death.

"Dearest Mother thou hath left us,
And they lost we deeply feel;
Yet 'tis God who hath bereft us,
He can all our sorrow heal."

Services yesterday afternoon at the U. B. Church in Angus, conducted by Rev Boyers, assisted by the local pastor and afterwards interment in the Edgar Cemetery.
