Mrs. Orene Meador, 79, of Stephenville died at 2: 30 a.m. Sunday at Mulberry Manor Nursing Home, after a long illness.
Services were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Morgan Garrett, First United Methodist Church pastor, officiating.
Graveside service s were at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Loraine Cemetery.
The body lay in state at the Firs t United Methodist Church in Loraine from 3-4 p. m. Tuesday.
Born July 26, 1903, she w as the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas West of Loraine.
She lived in Loraine and Colorado City and married Charlie Bell in 1935. He preceded her in death. She moved to Stephenville from Odessa in 1963 and married Joe Meador in Stephenville on May 10, 1967. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; two sisters, Mrs. J. B. House of San Antonio and Mrs. W. B. Simmons of Amarillo; a number of nieces and nephews.
