KENDALLVILLE - Marion J. Campbell Jr. 81, of rural Kendallville, died on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Marion was born on May 10, 1929 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Marion Sr. and Allie (Clemmons) Campbell.

He married Marion E. (Porter) Campbell and she survives in rural Kendallville.

Marion moved to the area in 1982 from Illinois in 1982 and was a retired construction worker. He raised cattle as a hobby.

He is survived by his wife Marion E.

3 sons: Terry Campbell and Gary Campbell of Illinois and Patrick Campbell of Kentucky.

2 daughters and sons in law; Joy Carole and John Oravetz and Jill and Hans Zimmerman both of Illinois.

3 Step sons and daughters in law; Frank and Angela Strope, Michael and Angel Strope and Robert and Cheryl Strope all of Illinois.

2 Step daughters Susan Verley of Illinois. and Linda Kelly of Indiana.

22 Grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

2 brothers; John Campbell of Wisconsin and Orville Campbell of Kentucky.

4 sisters; Nora Baugard of North Carolina, Cora Gilman of Montana, Vina Campbell of Kentucky and Stella Thomas of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Arnold, Hargas, and Chester. 5 sisters, Zola, Perla, Dosha, Lora and Dora and 1 daughter in law; Cindy Campbell.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Brazzell Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Rehobeth Cemetery near Albion.
