Finley Joel Calhoun

Finley Joel Calhoun, 56, of 603 New Castle Road, Mount Chestnut, died Sunday evening at his home following a long illness. He had undergone a lung transplant three years ago.
Born in West Monterrey, Clarion County, March 26, 1940, he was the son of Harry O. and Nellie A. (Rodgers) Calhoun.
He attended Fairview United Presbyterian Church and had graduated from Karns City High School in 1958.
Mr. Calhoun had served with the U.S. Navy in submarine service from 1959 to 1963. He worked in the rigger shop at Armco from 1964 to 1992.
Surviving are two sons, James C. Calhoun of Hamilton, Ohio, and Steven J. Calhoun of Renfrew; a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Michelle J. Calhoun) Presley, of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Harry P. Calhoun of Spokane, Wash., and Jan E. Calhoun of Southport, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. William R. (Edna J.) Bloom of Erie; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother.

CALHOUN-Friends of Finley Joel Calhoun, who died Monday, April 1, 1996, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home, Petrolia. Funeral services will follow at 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Rowe, pastor of Fairview United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Erie.
