Graple Alexander, 58, Topeka, died Friday at a Topeka hospital where she was admitted and underwent surgery for a brain tumor.

Miss Alexander was born July 15, 1913 at Jackson, Tenn., and lived at Parsons before she moved to Topeka 11 years ago. She was a member of Washington Avenue United Methodist Church at Parson, Ks.

She was a social worker and was employed by the Shawnee County Welfare Dept.

A cousin, Mary P. Barron, Wichita, survives.

Services and burial will be at Jackson, Tenn., where Lanier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Miss Alexander will lie in state from noon to 9 pm Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Topeka. Services will be Monday in the Lanier Funeral Home, Jackson, Tenn. with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jackson.
