Oliver was born on January 14, 1767 in Warren, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, the son of Henry and Martha (Read) Walbridge.

"Oliver4 (Henry,3 Amos,2 Henry1), b. at Western, now Warren, Mass., Jan. 14, 1767 (T. R.) Oliver m. Elizabeth Smith, and resided for a time at Cabot, Vt., where the T.
