John W. Beachy, age 83, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, September 21, 2010.

He was born August 18, 1927 to the late Noah and Lydian (Miller) Beachy. He was a custom building contractor. After retiring, John's hobby was restoring old clocks. Throughout the years John, with his wife Dorothy traveled to provide relief and help by serving in MDS. He was an active member of Hartville Mennonite Church and served on the board of the Mennonite Relief Sales.

Survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Dorothy (Troyer); children, Norman Beachy of Uniontown, Shirley and James Horvath of Quaker City, Karen and Dale Gingerich of Uniontown, Mary Lou Pastore of Hartville, Joyce (Tom) Needham of Louisville; grandchildren, Jimmy (Karen) Horvath, Julie (Chad) Gibson, Tiffany and Toby Gingerich, Matt Pastore and Anna (Mike) Ping, Raquel and Samantha Ferguson; three great-grandchildren, Kyra and Wyatt Horvath and Landon Gibson; siblings, Amanda Otto, Jay (Martha), Nancy (Willis) Troyer, Dan (Ginni), Joe (Carol),Al (Martha), Mary (Dave) Wileman, Marti (Eli) Miller, Mrs. Eli (Martha), Mrs. Vern (Erma), and Mrs. Bert (Reba); and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by son-in-law, Danny Pastore; grandson, Brady Gingerich; and brothers Nelson, Eli, Ray, Vern, and Bert.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Hartville Mennonite Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Pastor Ross Miller and Pastor Henry Shrock officiating.
Final resting place is the church cemetery.
