Lavenia A. Frizzell McQueen

December 9, 1888 - May 4, 1990

CARSON CITY, Nevada - Lavenia A. Frizzell McQueen, 101, formerly of McMinnville, died Monday in Carson City.

She was born in Wheeler County near Mitchell and married William M. McQueen on September 19, 1906 in Perrydale. After living in McMinnville many years and raising her children there, she lived in Portland for 18 years before coming to Carson City.

She enjoyed crewel work and artistry with thread and yarn.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara V. Miller of Carson City, brother Jason Frizzell of Salem, five grandchildren, and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Services begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Crest Abbey Mausoleum Chapel in Salem, and interment will be in the City View Cemetery, Salem. Virgil T. Golden mortuary is handling the arraignments.
