The obituary for Mrs. Mahala F. Jackson, widow of William H. Jackson, stated that she had died early Monday morning [7 Jan 1918] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. H. Kenny. Burial was at Richland Cemetery. She was born Jul. 23, 1828, in Fairfield Co., OH but had resided in Richland township 53 years. She married William Jackson, Jun. 7, 1849, coming to Illinois about 15 years later. Surviving were son, John D. of Richland township; daughters, Mrs. Sarah Turner of Houston, TX; Mrs. Laura Kennedy of Rock Island, TX and Mrs. A. H.
