Mary (McGrath) Monroe, 97, died Tuesday, March 5, at Riverside Hospital, Boonton.
Born in Manchester, England, she came to this country 87 years ago, settling in the Totowa section of Paterson. She also lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Bloomingdale a year ago.
Mrs. Monroe was a member of St. Ann's Church, Fair Lawn.
Surviving are a son, Robert of Decatur, two daughters, Eileen Mynett of Bloomingdale and Regina Grayson of Elmwood Park; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert, died in 1966. A son, Joseph, died in 1984. A daughter, Clare Ammeraal, died in 1976.
Arrangements are by Minchin Funeral Home, 17 Michigan Ave., Paterson.
