Milo A. Martinson, 91, of Perham, MN, died Saturday, March 27, at the Frazee Care Center, Frazee, MN. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, with Pastor Carl Noble officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Perham. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.

Milo was born March 1, 1919, the son of Anton and Minnie (Johnson) Martinson in Dent, MN, where he grew up. He graduated from Perham High School, June 10, 1937. Milo married Irma Wessel on September 13, 1939, and they remained in the Perham area. In 1944 Milo joined the United Sates Army and was assigned to the 17th Airborne Division. On March 24, 1945, he jumped into Germany and was one of the lucky ones to return home to his family.

Milo, Irma and their daughters moved to Menasha, WI, in 1947. There he started his own company, Martinson Realty, where he was both broker and builder. In 1965, Milo and Irma returned to Perham where he soon started a business with Clarence Hemmelgarn; H&M Builders. He remained active in the company until his retirement. Milo's many interests included hunting, fishing, trapshooting, playing guitar, reading and talking politics. He spent a lot of time in his gun room repairing guns, loading shells and talking with his buddies. Most important to Milo was his family; no matter what, you could always count on him to be there.

Milo will be sadly missed by his daughters, Carol (Paul) Wogikoski, Joan Moon and Gail (Dave) Knight, all of Perham; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and his many friends.

Preceding Milo in death are his parents; wife, Irma in 2004; brother, Marv; and great-granddaughter, Stephanie.

Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, is in charge of the arrangements, 218-346-5175. Online tributes may be posted on www.schoenebergerfuneralhome.com.
