Anna Ruth (Nicely) Demmitt, 91, of Ligonier, died Sunday morning, May 9, 2004, in the Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township. She was born Feb. 4, 1913, in Ligonier Township, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Eliza May Elder Nicely. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church USA, Ligonier. She had worked at the former 5 & 10 and in the kitchen for Meals on Wheels, both of Ligonier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Demmitt; two sisters, Mary Armor and Helen McClain; and six brothers, Ross, George, Ralph, Paul, Bob and Bill Nicely.
