In doing family research, I believe that Maut Elam was William Mortamore Elam. He was a brother to my great-grandfather, Thomas Edward Elam. From what I find, his wife Emma Bailey Elam died in 1905, at the birth of daughter Emma. It has been recorded that Emma Bailey Elam and at least 5 of their 7 children are buried at Mt. Carmel Church.
