Scena Jane Burke, age 91, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Ky.

She was born January 19, 1916 in McCreary County, Ky., the daughter of the late James A. and Canzada Coffey.

On September 21, 1935, she was united in marriage to the late Floyd "Bill" Burke.

She is survived by two sons-Dallas Burke [#74063094] of Monticello, Ky. and Carl Burke and his wife Robin of Muncie, Ind.

She is also survived by one sister-Julia Smith of Monticello, Ky.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two brothers-Tommy and Marcus Coffey; and three sisters-Lizzie Smith, Belle Coffey and Hattie Ball.

She was a member of the Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services were Friday, September 28, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dewey Burks officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
