Bobby A. Smith, 74 of Jesup, Ga. died Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The Brantley County, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County, Ga. most of his life and was retired from the Derst Baking Company. He was a loving family man and was predeceased by a son: Franklin Lamar Hand.
Survivors are his wife of 45 years: Linda Hand Smith of Jesup, Ga.; daughters: Cathy (Jimmy) Heath, Karen (Johnny) Beecher, Bobbie Gail (Dennis) Johnson, all of Tallahassee, Fl.; Shirley (Terry) Martin of Jesup, Ga.; a son: Bobby (Rhonda) Smith, Jr. of Wrens, Ga.; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; an aunt: Grace Hurlbut of Tallahassee, FL.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, September 25, 2010 from the Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Wayne Miracle officiating. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery, Smyrna Church Road, Nahunta, Ga. Active pallbearers will be family.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2010 from the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home.
