Wood, 79, formerly owner and operator of a saloon in Martinsville, but for many years a proinent merchant, miller and farmer of the Dodson community in Patrick County, died at the local hospital Tuesday night following a long decline in health. Funeral services were held from the late home Thursday. Burial followed in the family burial ground near Dodson. Surviving is one son. His wife died 12 years ago. [Ref.
