Hannah Eliza had the following alternate first names: Eliza Hannah; Hannah Eliza; Hannah E., Eliza H.; "H.E."
Hannah Eliza Miller Lowery Fisher is one of nine known children born to William and Mary (née Dehart) Miller. William and Mary's eldest son Isaac Chambers Miller married Angeline Lee; their daughter Sarah Ann Miller married Wesley Lee (Chico druggist).
Hannah Eliza Miller married 1) James Harvey Lowery, on January 6, 1853, in Clark County, Illinois. James died 1864. Children: Amelia; Amanda; Samuel; son James Harvey Jr was born after his father's death.
Hannah Eliza Miller Lowery married 2) James A. W. Fisher or Fischer, September 20, 1865 in California.

On June 12, 1886, James A. Fischer was appointed administrator as his wife had died without completing the administration [of the estate of James H. Lowery].
Lucy A. Lowery [nee Bicknell] was appointed administratrix after Fischer failed to complete the administration on December 14, 1868.
Lucy A. Lowery appointed guardian of minor heirs, 8 Mar 1870. Amanda Lowery's aunts: Lucy A. [Bicknell] Lowery, Margaret [Lowery] Whistler; Amanda's grandmother, Judah Anderson; Amanda's uncle, J.P. Lowery; Amanda's sister, Amelia Hill; Amanda's brothers Samuel Lowery, and James H. Lowery.
Obituary: Chico Weekly Courant, April 10, 1868. "Mrs. Hannah E. Fisher, age 35 yrs 8 mos 15 days. Leaves husband and four children. Was born in York, Clark county, IL., came to California 1857. Deceased was a sister-in-law to W. Lee of this town."
